The unseasonally dry hot weather has brought an early end to the
flowering season with a violent hailstorm
08-10-2007.
At the Orchidwalk you will see some of the
15,000 plus orchids in bloom all growing in their natural environment around a 3km walking
track.
Actually we've fudged a bit to make it easier for you as most orchids have been
established on trees and rocks at and above eye level around the Orchidwalk.
Whether you're into orchids , rainforest species of trees and plants , crows nest ferns ,
staghorns , elkhorns , fungii , fern trees or tree ferns ..... we have it all...shared
with all the different species of rainforest birds and creatures, all in the wild.
The Orchidwalk is able to be accessed by booking in online via the enquiry button above in
return for a donation toward the upkeep and maintainence of the display.
Guided tours are also available for a fee, but due to the time factor, advance bookings
are required.
In other words, if you turn up unannounced it will not generally be possible to run a
guided tour for you.
And in answer to the most commonly asked
question .....
No... we don't sell plants.
